This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Never far from my cameras, I am a keen beginner and an Englishman living in a beautiful part of South West France.
No particular route planned on my photographic journey, if I find a style or direction I like or that feels right that is where I will be found; for a while at least!
Keen to learn more I would encourage feedback (good or bad).
Thank you for your time...
PS: The whole copyright thing! None of my photos may be copied/reproduced or distributed for commercial/political gain without my written permission...
It has been a while and something inside me feels the need to explain to my dA friends and watchers the reason for my recent absence.
The week leading up to my first exhibition proved to be all consuming and stress filled! To cut a long and boring story short I managed (somehow) to get everything ready in time for the opening on the evening of 10th May. The night proved to be a huge success and I managed to sell 9 of the 22 photos on the night with 2 more reserved and orders for more! The local press turned up and I was urged to exhibit additional work at a number of galleries.
Call it a "mid life crisis", call it "lunacy" but I got to thinking that maybe (just maybe) this may be the direction to go?? I earned more in one evening than I generally do running my moving business in a month! As some of you know I had my second heart attack last year and the removal industry is not exactly conducive to heart conditions! Not one to "count my chickens" I am far from giving up the day job but I have decided to take this photography thing a bit more seriously.
I have been advised to start "protecting" the photos that I post online hence the more recent watermarking. I'm not keen as I find them distracting and feel that they ruin the image but they are a necessary evil for the moment at least.
So, please forgive my recent absence and the "beefed up" copyrighting watermarks etc but I really have to give this a go! It may well lead to nothing but if I don't give it a try I will never know.
I have missed my friends here on dA and don't wish to appear ungrateful for all you support and encouragement, you are the best.
